[Press Release] Safety First: National Association of REALTORS® Video Wins Awards

Elmhurst (August 8, 2016) REALTORS® work with many different people, all with the interest of helping them find the home of their dreams. Often overlooked, however, is the ever-present dangers REALTORS® face when showing homes that contrast with the joys of making their clients happy. For this reason, Maddock Douglas helped the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) create an effective training video to help consumers learn about the potential safety protocols they may encounter when working with a REALTOR®. It’s a great resource for REALTORS® to share with clients to educate them about the importance of REALTOR® safety. According to NAR, “It’s because of the unique nature of this business that it’s critical for all REALTORS® to have a personal safety protocol in place that they follow every day, with every client, every time.”

Chris Miller, creative director for the project, explains, “The ‘Realtor, Safety and You’ video handled a sensitive subject with a softer, more whimsical tone. It’s a serious matter, of course, but we didn’t want to treat it in a dark, scary or clinical manner. With animation and a bit of lightheartedness, we’ve actually garnered more attention for the subject.”

The video was recognized as the Best Association Online Video in the 2016 Internet Advertising Competition as well as a bronze Stevie Award in the “Video: PR” category from The American Business Awards.
